Last night I was watching Cj laugh while he was playing with the dog in the hallway. It was nice to think to myself "I have a nice home" and have it have nothing to do with the building I'm in or the stuff I have around me.
Going to play frisbee today on the beach, then maybe watch A Scanner Darkly. Tomorrow I need to go shop my resume around some more and try to find a part time job that doesn't make me want to kill myself.

I went and saw "23" with Jim Carrey tonight. It was good, and I highly recommend it, but I would say not to go and see it with anyone that reminds you of the main character. Just watch the previews, and if your male friend starts looking suspiciously like Jim Carrey in this movie, don't take them with you. It'll just creep you out.
I say this because Cj and I have both been talking about how he has some of the traits of this character. Then I went and saw the movie with my parents, and I honestly don't know why, but I was really glad Cj hadn't seen it too.
Brrr.

So I'm supposed to find out whether or not I get into grad school sometime this month, but the lady said they were making decisions the end of this week. I'm starting to get a little nervous. The program is really small - only 12 people got in last year, 15 the year before that, and 8 the year before that. There were only 10 people that applied online this year including me. I don't know whether that just means that not very many people apply, or what. Anyway. I'll be sure and let you guys know.
In other news we got $300 for the Revue after the fact from the Vice Chancellor's office, which is good. Pays off some paint and wood we had to buy for the set.
Mmmyep.
Cj's playing Half-Life 2 and it's making me sick to my stomach. But I love it and I want to watch him play it. But it seriously makes me all woozy. I dunno what it is.
Aliens with taser sticks, yay!

Me: ... you look nice.
Cj: What? No, I don't. I look like I should be on the cover of Buttsex [Brokeback] Mountain. Waitaminute...
*Goes over to coat rack and puts on Cowboy Hat*
Cj: Wait, wait... *makes face like Jake Gyllenhal on cover of book*
Me, laughing: You should totally wear that when you go to campus.
Cj: YEAH RIGHT. I am NOT going to go play DDR with a gay man wearing a denim suit and a cowboy hat.
Me: Whyyyy?
Cj: ... do you even WANT me to be straight?
Me: I do... I just like it when you DRESS gay.

Me: You don't really mean that, do you.
Cj: Of course I do. Would I lie to you?
Me: Yes!
Cj: No I wouldn't! Only about stuff like.... football.
Me: ... what?
Cj: It was the only typical male thing I could think of.
